Letter from THE President & CEO

In 2008 JAS celebrated its 30th anniversary. A proud moment in time for us and one that gave us pause for thought. From the creation of the company by one man, Mr. Biagio Bruni, three decades later we find ourselves with 3000+ employees, 240+ offices in 80 countries on six continents and with $1.2bn in consolidated revenue; annually moving 100 million kilos by air and 260 thousand TEU’s on the oceans.

Statistics though are not revealing of a company. In fact the business we handle today is because we have carefully crafted client relationships around the world, garnered a deep understanding of their needs and have never lost focus in our sincere desire to meet them. We have been client focused and client driven for 30 years and this is the reason for our growth, passing this torch of understanding along to the new offices around the world, as they have been opened.

Despite worldwide subsidiaries, the single company that is JAS is lean on management but strongly led, and lean on assets but heavy on forwarding intellect and experience. We are a flexible, service and solution minded global entity that depends on the ability of our duly empowered employees to meet the challenges presented by our clients. It’s that structure, combined with an absolute knowledge of our business that gives us the ability to find solutions for our clients. Moreover, I firmly believe, it is all of these things working in concert which separate JAS from our competition today; clients in all walks of business are globally served by our seasoned industry professionals working with our valued airline and ocean partners to provide seamless logistics and supply chain solutions.

Economies grow and shrink and indeed current trends show challenging times ahead. However, we are confident we will continue to grow our business, opening new offices and looking at other ways to develop our company in the future. And while numbers are used to rank or value any organization, by drawing together the needs of our clients, the talents of our staff and supported by the carriers we trust, JAS, as a single entity, becomes greater than the sum of its parts.
